Counterpoint - many more billionaires support Harris/supported Biden than support Trump (Pritzker, Marc Cuban, etc.) so what's the model for their support? They are just normies?
As the New Yorker story points out, a lot of the billionaires backing Trump promised that they were done with them after January 6. So yeah I think it’s just kind of normal to support in a way. It’s not normal to support Trump. But you make a good point. Maybe my half-baked theory was more half-baked than I realized!
No I think it's moderately well baked! I've just seen a lot of commentary on how shocking it is that a few billionaires support Trump and very little about what it means that most billionaires seem to support Harris.
