Southern California has been my home for most of my life. I have called people in the migrant community schoolmates, co-workers and friends. These people contribute to the community and pay taxes. We forget that we are a nation of immigrants. While I believe we need secure borders and a legal system of entry, I also believe immigrants enrich our society. It’s unfortunate that while Carol’s community is outraged with what happened to her that they still support Trump. My hope is that, that community and others will realize that Trumps immigration operation is not an exception but the rule of how little regard he has for the American people.
