I am one progressive who will not be getting on board with the bombing of Iran.

My regrets to Van for declining his invitation.

Not sure I agree with you, as I have massive reservations about a country like Iran having the bomb, but i applaud your integrity here. For me I’m agnostic as to this attack at present. I guess time will tell one way or the other

I also have reservations. As I will never cease to mention: There had already been a diplomatic solution. Trump tore it up. This moment didn't have to arrive. Trump's decisions brought us here.

Good grief! Van Jones is the designated "Liberal who reluctantly admits Scott Jennings is right"? This is the guy who did the "There! There! That's where Donald Trump won the heart of the American people!", paraphrasing his state of the union comments in Trump 1. Both Jennings and Jones have deep, I mean, deep, expertise in Iranian and National Security affairs, at least? :-)

At this point we still seem to be in the stage that it's being taken for granted that all 3 sites were "totally obliterated" and that's enough to end the program. Plenty of real experts will tell you that air strikes on those sites are not going to end their program. I've already seen commercial satellite photos showing a large amount of truck activity at Fordow earlier in the week.

I'd say the odds are much more likely to favor you, Joel, than Graham. The inability of all these folks to learn a damn thing from our previous adventures in the Middle East, and at least show some humility, is something to behold.

I guess the thing we have really going for us is this is being handled by the genius and steady hand of Donald Trump along with the band of advisors who make Lincoln's cabinet look dumb... :-)

I really appreciate your perspective. You were raised by a conscientious objector and I by a veteran of WWII. In the case of the latter I believe some wars are a necessary evil but I’m not sure this is one of those times. I watched the unnecessary Vietnam war unfold before me on TV and know many a Vet whose lives were forever marred by the experience. I also grew up in the age of bomb drills, diving under my desk at school and the occasional air raid test siren. I was terrified of going up in flames during a nuclear attack and the thought of nukes in destructive hands still frightens me. I don’t believe Iran should have those capabilities but I also know our country is under the control of a petulant toddler who lies as easily as he breathes.

Isn't Van Jones a lawyer?? Why are we asking him anything? This entire situation is giving the weakest group in the group project energy. The kids who effed around and now are going to find out about their terrible grade. I hate it here. I just keep thinking, "elections have consequences and there are already so many.

21% Israeli citizens are none Jewish Arabs. I wouldn't call that apartheid. Genocide, is an over the top description of war. Hamas has decided not to end the war by releasing their remaining kidnap victims.

Was mostly interested in Van Jones - ostensibly progressive - arguing for war.
